HemingfordCHAROLAIS
Hemingford Charolais is a commercially focused hill country operation near Culverden, New Zealand (South Island). The Hollands are known to produce quiet, grunty, high performance Charolais bulls with excellent feet and structure. Hemingford’s annual bull sale achieved top priced bull in New Zealand three out of the last four years.
Hemingford is 1200 hectares with 400 hectares irrigated. The Hollands run 2500 fully recorded sheep stud ewes: Romtex, Suftex and Texel breeds and 300 registered Charolais cows.
Mark & Deb Oram were fortunate to visit the Holland family and see their herd in 2019 and 2020. Valley’s End Charolais has imported semen to Canada from Hemingford Next Direction N64, a polled, proven 2017 herdsire. Next Direction calves will be born February 2022 at Valley’s End Charolais.
